In the lives of those we meet

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the female population. It is estimated that in 2018, in Italy, affected 52,800 women. 1 in 8 women over the course of their life get breast cancer. Photography allows to stop time: witness of the pain, suffering, the possibility of not doing it or a real future, a whole life, a love for a lifetime or just that of a look. A fragment of life stuck in a frame window connects with all the others. At that point an “I” becomes a “we”, a us becomes all and finally one again. By removing the veil of fears, insecurities, shame, disappointment, sadness and shyness, every woman is tightening her present fruit of change. In this apparent simplicity, all barriers are broken down to make their way into the truth, to become a symbol of an inner rebirth, emotional, concrete and conscious. Each image is a symbol that contains light and shadow. The darkness of our time becomes a means to welcome change from which, with will, sprouts of light are born.
